WiderPath,
Neuroplasticity,
and You
Neuroplasticity is the brain’s capacity to continue growing and evolving in response to life experiences. Plasticity is the capacity to be shaped, molded, or altered; neuroplasticity, then, is the ability for the brain to adapt or change over time, by creating new neurons and building new networks.
Our neuroplasticity creates a porousness to allow people to access positive change.
WiderPath’s intensive program provides an atmosphere where participants learn to surrender loyalty to old patterns, and benefit through active participation and observation with others. Sharing the WiderPath experience as a group satisfies our need to belong, allows us to gain information and understanding through social comparison, helps us to define our sense of self and social identity, and assists in achieving goals that might elude us if we worked alone.
We believe that change is not a purely cognitive function, and that in order for change to take place, we need to address all aspects of the person. Using several types of modalities, we lead participants through an experience that touches on all aspects of the Self: Body, emotions, and language.
Our past participants report a lasting significant increase in self-acceptance, emotional intelligence, happiness, compassion, and hope.
